Only hospital that provides residency programs

Mogadishu Somali Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan Training and Research Hospital was opened to the public in June 2015 based on a protocol singed by the health ministries of the two countries in September 2013 to develop the cooperation between the countries in the field of health and medicine. The hospital is the only one that provides residency program to the young doctors graduating from medical schools. With variety of residency programs from internal medicine to very rare programs such cardiovascular, dermatology and etc.
The trainers come from the health ministry of Turkey and mainly from the university of health sciences which is the leading public University in Turkey and it is the one to provide the specialty certificate to the doctors who complete their residency program.

Chairman’s Message

The University of Health Sciences has been serving to expand health education regionally and globally with its campuses opened nationally and internationally since its foundation. It has an important role in teaching and education as one of the biggest academic centres of its country in the field of health sciences.
